AARC has ceased operations as of September 2021. SoundExchange will begin collecting and distributing distributing domestic and foreign private copying royalties in 2022.

The Alliance of Artists and Recording Companies, Inc. (AARC) was the leading organization representing featured recording artists and sound recording copyright owners, both domestically and abroad, in the areas of hometaping/private copy royalties and rental royalties. AARC will no longer collect and distribute royalties to Artist(s) and Sound Recording Owner(s) associated with sound recordings, this responsibility been handed over to SoundExchange. Artists and Sound Recording Owners who were previously registered with SoundExchange will need to opt-in via their SoundExchange portal to collect these royalties. New Sound Exchange affiliates will be opted-in automatically.

TuneRegistry does deliver Recording & Release registrations to SoundExchange via DDEX. In order to submit your repetiore from our system to SoundExchange you will need to setup the DDEX feed for each individual label entity within your TuneRegistry account.
