MusicMark is a collaboration between ASCAP and BMI. Through MusicMark, publishers can submit a single registration file to both performing rights organizations (PROs) simultaneously, even if the work was co-written by members of different societies. Each PRO will then integrate the registration data into its respective repertory of works.

ASCAP
The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) is an American not-for-profit performance-rights organization (PRO) that protects its members' musical copyrights by monitoring public performances of their music, whether via a broadcast or live performance, and compensating them accordingly.
ASCAP is the only performing rights organization in the US owned and governed by songwriters, composers and music publishers. Our Board of Directors is made up entirely of writers and publishers elected from and by the membership every two years.

BMI
Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) is one of four United States performing rights organizations, along with ASCAP, SESAC, Pro Music Rights and SoundExchange. It collects license fees on behalf of songwriters, composers, and music publishers and distributes them as royalties to those members whose works have been performed.
BMI is the bridge between songwriters and the businesses and organizations that want to play their music publicly. As a global leader in music rights management, BMI serves as an advocate for the value of music, representing 14 million musical works created and owned by more than 900,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers.
